The Body Remembers God+dess
A Somatic Workshop for Grief, Healing, and Sacred Reconnection
September 20th
10am - 12:30pm CST

In many spiritual traditions, the body has been silenced, pathologized, or disremembered—especially in teachings rooted in colonized theology. But what if the body is the map back to the sacred?
This 2.5-hour trauma-informed, somatically grounded workshop creates a sacred container where grief, desire, and spiritual disconnection are met with movement, breath, story, and ritual.
Together, we will:
- Unlearn shame and spiritual disconnection rooted in internalized racist theology
- Reclaim grief, desire, and pleasure as sacred
- Awaken the full spectrum of divine energies within the body
- Learn somatic tools you can bring into your professional and personal practice
This Is For You If...
- You are a chaplain, therapist, sex educator, somatic healer, or spiritual caregiver, and you hold sacred space for others
- You're committed to decolonizing spiritual care and dismantling internalized religious racism
- You believe in the sacredness of pleasure, grief as spiritual practice, and holistic embodiment as a healing path
- You seek AASECT Continuing Education Units (CEUs) that align with liberatory, embodied, and justice-centered spirituality
You’ll leave with the skills, practices, and sacred presence to guide yourself and others into deeper connection, trust, and embodiment.

About the Facilitator...
Rev. Lorren Z. Buck is a sexual liberation theologian whose healing activism reflects her bold sentiments that the Creator desires people to experience pleasure and healing from the legacy of sexual violence and theological malpractice. She is blurring the lines between the profane and sacred under the moniker The P Pastor. This to her is a holy act of resistance.
Lorren has a background in church leadership, sexual health education and executive non-profit management. She has over 20 years of experience in group facilitation, social justice education and curriculum writing. Both Lorren’s profession and passions led her to consider the effects of gender oppression on female sexuality within faith communities.
Lorren earned her master’s degree in Divinity from Eden Theological Seminary where she examined ways black women can reclaim their bodies as sacred by uniting their spiritual knowledge with their erotic power.
Lorren is a certified sexologist, trained in Authentic Tantra, a lineage-based practice that uses Tibetan 5 Element practices, Daoist sexual yoga, somatic sexual healing to bridge the divide between the spiritual and sexual.
Pastor Lorren is also a certified pole instructor, chaplain and consultant who leads healing retreats across the country. She is living out her pastoral call as a spiritual entrepreneur through her LLC, The Theological Institute for Sexology. There she supports seekers on a pilgrimage towards self-acceptance, sexual exploration and spiritual discovery.
